About

EdTools is a practical guide to AI tools for teachers. Every week we publish step-by-step tutorials, honest tool comparisons and ready-to-use prompts that help educators spend less time on paperwork and more time teaching.

The AI-in-education space moves fast. New tools launch every month, pricing changes without warning, and most "top 50 AI tools" lists are written by people who have never planned a lesson. EdTools exists to cut through that noise with guides that are specific, tested and written from a classroom point of view.

Who is behind EdTools?

EdTools is written by Muneeb, a teacher and software developer based in Lahore, Pakistan. I teach biology, and alongside teaching I build education software under ZoodSolutions — including exam paper generators, question banks, marking systems and school management apps used by real teachers.

That combination is the reason this blog exists. As a teacher, I know which tasks actually eat up our evenings: writing quizzes, differentiating reading material, giving feedback and planning lessons. As a developer, I understand how these AI tools work under the hood, where they are strong, and where they quietly make mistakes.

What you will find here

  • Prompts & Templates — copy-paste prompts for lesson plans, rubrics, feedback and more.

Our editorial principles

  • Accuracy first. We check pricing and features against each vendor's own pages and note the date we checked. If something changes, we update the post.
  • Teacher judgement stays in charge. AI output should always be reviewed before it reaches students. We point out where tools tend to get things wrong.
  • Student privacy matters. We never recommend pasting personal student information into AI tools that are not approved by your school.
  • Independence. We are not paid by the tools we review. If that ever changes for a specific post, we will say so clearly at the top of that post.
